MATHEMATICS GRADE 8 -- CHAPTER 1 --WHOLE NUMBERS
Whole numbers are numbers we can count.
We use them in our daily lives.
An example is having 2 pens.
Another example is having 1 ruler.
If you have no phone, you have zero phones.
Whole numbers start from 0. They continue as 1, 2, 3, and so on. Their symbol is N0.
If we take 0 out of the whole numbers, we get natural numbers. Their symbol is N.
There are four basic operation which we can perform on these set of whole numbers.
1. Addition ( 2 +7 = 9 )
2. Subtraction ( 8 - 5 = 3 )
3. Multiplication ( 4 x 5 = 20)
4. Division ( 12 / 3 = 4).
